New Space Nexus Ignitor Program Honors Lesath International
NewSpace Nexus is excited to celebrate the first anniversary of its NewSpace Ignitor program, with 23 companies served and more than 24.5 million dollars awarded in funding and customer contracts to participating companies. The program features a first-of-its-kind tiered program structure that enables more companies to participate while providing them with programming, opportunities and resources based on what they each need most to accelerate growth. The incubator-like program is funded in partnership with the Air Force Research Laboratory.
The program launched in the fall of 2022 with companies receiving services to level-up their concepts and turn them into revenue-generating products using the tiered program structure, which includes Ignitor AA, AAA and Elite teams. Services provided include readiness level assessments (across technology, manufacturing, integration, business and investment), market analysis, strategy development, Level-UP curriculum, pitch refinement, tailored navigation and customer demonstration opportunities.
Pitch opportunities to money sources are a signature part of the program. That is why all Ignitor companies, including those graduating, will pitch at the NewSpace ShowSpace Summit December 6, giving them another opportunity to network, create partnerships and secure revenue during the celebratory week.
These companies have inspiring visions to ensure the U.S. maintains leadership in space with innovative concepts spanning space domain awareness, next-generation power and propulsion, launch, point-to-point space travel, at-sea spaceports, AI and predictive maintenance, satellite communications, remote sensing and space traffic management.
Graduating Ignitor AAA companies include:
BlueSpace, Evolution Space, RS21 and New Frontier Aerospace
Graduating AA Companies are:
Auriga Space, Gorilla Link, Lesath International, Proof Labs, Southwest Creek Engineering, The
Spaceport Company and Tybram
“We are very impressed with how our NewSpace Ignitor companies advanced their plans, strategies and pitches throughout the program’s first year,” stated Scott Maethner, VP of Operations and Integration at NewSpace Nexus. “The program is enabling our companies to secure revenue faster, with early numbers indicating that 24.5 million dollars have been awarded to them in funding and customer contracts.”
